In Warhammer 40,000 I play Necrons & my custom space marine chapter the Sons of Isis. In Blood Bowl I have Orc & Human teams. I've ordered Mantic's Deadzone and eagerly awaiting delivery, and I have just started out in Fantasy with some High Elves.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I have decided to start a fresh with a new blog, Combat Doctrine. I figured that having sold the Sons of Isis I shouldn't really have a blog about them. I know I could change the name of this one but I'd like to claim back my private email address also! So what to expect from the new blog? Much the same as this one in all honesty, maybe with a new spin in things but it will focus on my new venture in Warhammer 40,000, starting a new Chapter. I'm talking new paint schemes, fluff, heck I might even write a battle report! You never know!
But what I would really like to say, is thank you all for stopping by here, for commenting, for inspiring me and for your enthusiasm for the hobby we all love!
Those of us that have downloaded the Space Marine Codex from iTunes have enjoyed things like the Storm Raven automatically added to our force lists, but what will happen when the new codex arrives on iTunes?
When you download a codex the text says that it will always be updated with the latest rules and FAQ, so what happens now?
I can't see GW giving us all the new codex for free but this is unknown territory. Will we be able to pay a smaller fee to upgrade to the latest rules? Will we be left with a redundant rule book (I know that happens with a physical copy but at least that can be sold or recycled)
It will be really interesting to see where this goes and it will set the standard for every ebook codex in future.
Whatever happens, I can't wait to get my hands on the new codex one way or another!
